    I was happy to know that you have been elected by the Parliament as President of Hungary. A proof that you deserve to assume the highest post to service our dear Hungarian people, in these very difficult times. 

    I still remember with gratitude your address to the "Family International Convention" in Verona, Italy, when you courageously defended the values of the Christian family.

    Please, accept my heartfelt congratulations and prayerful wishes, as I entrust you, your dear family, and the proud Hungarian people to God's love and mercy.
